ARTS 105: Basic Photography

Focusing on creative digital and analog photography, this course provides an introduction to the concepts and techniques of lens-based media.

*Note: This course is being offered in a blended format. Although the majority of the work is completed online for the blended section, some classroom meetings are required.

Required Materials

  • Camera—You must have a digital SLR camera with a standard focus lens (approximately 50mm) and full manual exposure and focal controls (focus, ISO, aperture, and shutter speed settings).
  • Memory card for your camera

  • Tripod for your camera
